my amazon wishlist

So I kinda have this problem with my Amazon wishlist, which is, it never ends!
I have been known to use & abuse my "Universal Wishlist" button at work & at home because it is so much quicker then "favourite-ing" an item.
So here goes, my Amazon wishlist cull (books not including as I like to transfer those to my Book Depository wishlist which is a million years long, sigh)

warm fuzzies #1: cats & the sea services

Every so often, something comes up that restores my faith in humanity
From now on, I want to share these things on this blog.
Today, it was these photos from "Cats & the Sea Service" and just how adorable are they!?
It makes me just that little bit happier knowing there is proof that even the hardest manly men of war can have soft spots for widdle biddle kitties :)
You can check out the rest of the gallery here

"War Veteran - 'Pooli', who rates three service ribbons and four battle stars, shows she can still get into her old uniform as she prepares to celebrate her 15th birthday. The cat served aboard an attack transport during World War II." Los Angeles, 1959

"Accepting her fate as an orphan of war, 'Miss Hap' a two-week old Korean kitten chows down on canned milk, piped to her by medicine dropper with the help of Marine Sergeant Frank Praytor ... The Marine adopted the kitten after its mother was killed by a mortar barrage near Bunker Hill. The name, Miss Hap, Sergeant Praytor explained, was given to the kitten 'because she was born at the wrong place at the wrong time'." Korea, ca 1953
